This half of term 1 we learned a lot and shared some of it on the ipads. We learned about tower houses and the stones age. Each person with their partner created their own collage on the picCollage app, sharing interesting facts about tower houses and the stone age. We learned how to take a screenshot of it and to upload it to the bookcreator app.
We had our 'Author's Chair' where lots of people read their own stories with the class.
Every Friday, if we earned it, we had golden time. We could play with games, finish our art, draw and sometimes watch a movie or the Toy Show! We did lots of lovely art, including Christmas trees made from clay. When they were dry we painted them, added glitter and took them home.
We finished up our French lessons with Ghyslaine, we were very lucky to get croissants on the last day! We learned a lot during French, including some catchy songs. We will really miss these lessons. We also had Football lessons with Anthony. We really enjoyed these lessons and developed our skills. Ms. Weste organised a football blitz for us which was so much fun. We got the chance to play against another school in a non competitive setting. Thank you Ms. Weste. As part of Science week we also had a workshop in school from the SEAI. We got to go and support 5th and 6th class in the Sciath na Scol final in Páirc Uí Chaoimh. They were amazing to watch. Thank you to the team for a really enjoyable day out. We did lots of training for the Santa Dash, we collected lots of money on our sponsorship cards and then ran 1 mile along the walkway. Our amazing Parents Association organised Santa's Grotto and a visit from Santa. Thanks PA! Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year, Éabha, Maci, Sarah Dinneen & Zoe
