Activities

Our school is part of the Green School Flag initiative, Creative Schools initiative, Discovery Science and Math Awards, the Amber Flag initiative and the Health Promoting School initiative.

We are a Nut Free School.

Our school is also part of the National Digital Learning Pilot initiative and the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment “new curriculum” Pilot.

Sport, Drama and Music are significant parts of our day.  We take part in numerous sporting blitzes including Gaelic Football, Camogie, Tennis, Basketball, Pitch and Putt, Spike Ball, Soccer, Hockey and Tag-Rugby.  We have a school choir and host a school musical every second year.

We are striving to have a paperless administrative environment by 2021 while almost all of our communication internally and externally is paperless.  We are also aiming to be energy neutral for all of our school devices by 2021 through the installation of Solar Panel.

Social, Personal and Health Education is an important part of our environment.  We remain loyal to the work “kindness” each day to promote well-being and happiness.

We host an Afterschool Club from Mondays – Thursday for our pupils from 1^st – 6^th Classes.  This comprises of a Homework club from 2:30pm – 3:45pm and  a variety of Music, Drama, Art and movement classes from 3:30pm – 4:30pm.
